This guitar was completely revived by me, i bought it at a fleamarket for 10 euro, only body neck and bridge and with a set of six in line tuners on it. The guitar was al painted black but luckely i could see how it used to look on the back were some paint was worn off. Back home i wrapped the body in some cloths drenched in thinner ,and i was happy to see all the paint came of easely, luckely they were lazy and didn’t sanded the body before painting it, some thorough polishing was enough to bring the shine back on the original finish. After getting the necesary parts i put it all together, and was amazed about the ease this guitar plays, even the cheapo boston humbuckers don’t sound bad in this guitar. This vantage was made during the matsumoku period, almost all guitars matsumoku produced were good guitars. I always like the wood structure on guitars and this one is no exception. |

A nameless copy of the Peavey vortex 2, possible made by aria, looking at the headstock shape. A great guitar plays smooth and has balls, and with his toplocks and floydstyle bridge never goes out of tune. The only negative thing i can say about it is, that is getting it to stand is difficult and on stage it is not possible, to keep it standing up better lay it down somewhere. |
